Yesterday, the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic summarized its activities for 2024 and shared plans for 2025. Representatives from the regional branches of the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic, as well as leaders of artistic ensembles, participated in the event.
During the summary event, a group of industry professionals who have been selflessly working towards the development of culture and the arts, enhancing the reputation of Uzbek national culture and art worldwide, and realizing the potential of young talented individuals, were awarded the "Culture and Art Devotee" badge, in accordance with a decree by the Minister of Culture.
Bahodir Ahmedov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, participated in the event, praising the industry professionals for their effective work in 2024 and expressing confidence in the success of their activities in 2025. During the event, 50 individuals from the culture and arts sector were awarded the "Culture and Art Devotee" badge.
For reference, in 2024, the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic and its regional branches held a total of 3,393 cultural-educational, concert-performance events, and official receptions, attracting 1,653,928 spectators.
In 2024, the artistic ensembles and creative staff of the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic organized 76 higher education and 1,323 public education programs, conducting 1,399 lecture-concerts.
In line with the implementation of the Presidential Decree No. PQ-406, dated December 25, 2023, on improving the level of cultural services for the public, 109 tour-concert programs were organized in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and remote areas of the regions, with 259,100 spectators attending these events.
In 2024, the Philharmonic participated in various international competitions and festivals, with several experts and artistic groups representing the country.
Additionally, in 2024, the creative groups of the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic and regional branches went on 46 tours to 18 foreign countries. More than 10 concerts, along with master classes, were held as part of strengthening cooperation with foreign countries, sharing experiences, and enhancing qualifications.
The Philharmonic also participated in 15 international competitions and festivals, earning prestigious positions.
According to the Uzbekistan Cabinet of Ministers' decision from July 10, 2024, and the Minister of Culture's decree from July 19, 2024, 45 gala-concerts of the "National Party" show program were held in 12 districts of Tashkent city in the third quarter of the year.
Moreover, in line with the Uzbekistan Cabinet of Ministers' meeting decision from January 31, 2024, nine creative-educational nights dedicated to the work of famous culture and art figures were held at the "Spirituality and Enlightenment" center (Symposium Palace).
In addition, to comply with the Cabinet of Ministers' directive from September 11, 2024, and the Ministry of Culture's order from September 13, 2024, 67 public cultural events were held in Tashkent city and Samarkand region, reaching 59,820 spectators.
