Music culture is one of the essential components of our spirituality. Today, great reforms are being made to preserve and restore the spiritual wealth passed down from our ancestors, including the musical culture, and to keep pace with the times. The attention to our national values, customs, and spiritual wealth has been raised to the level of the state. Throughout 2024, numerous state events, competitions, and concerts were held.

Yesterday, on December 24, the first-ever "O'zbegim-2024" national award ceremony was held at the "Xalqlar do'stligi" Arts Palace in the capital to encourage a group of creators who were active throughout the year and presented new songs to their fans.

The event was attended by the Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, heads of central offices and system organizations, creators, famous artists, and representatives of the media.

A number of creators who earned a place in the hearts of the people with their works during the year were awarded in 11 nominations:

• “National Voice” special nomination: Farrukh Zokirov, Gulomjon Yoqubov,
• “Most Active Creator of the Year”: Muhammadziyo,
• “Best Estrada Group of the Year”: “Benom” group,
• “Best Show Concert of the Year”: Lola Yo'ldosheva,
• “Best Word Master of the Year”: Avaz Oxun,
• “Song of the Year”: Ozoda Nursaidova,
• “New Voice of the Year”: Shohrux Ergashev,
• “Estrada Nostalgia”: DJ Pilligrim,
• “Best Female Singer of the Year”: Ozoda Nursaidova,
• “Best Male Singer of the Year”: Hamdam Sobirov,
• “For Patriotic Tunes”: Sevara Nazarxon,
• “O'zbekkonsert Recognition”: Imron,
• “For Bright Thematic Songs”: Osman Navro'zov,
• “For Creative Approach to Work”: Shohruhxon,
• “For Activity in Cultural Events”: Jahongir Poziljonov,
• “Contribution to the Development of Uzbek Estrada Art”: Rayhon G'aniyeva.

During the event, the Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov presented the "People's Artist of Uzbekistan" award to the talented artist of Tajikistan, Nigina Amanqulova, based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The winners were determined based on the results of a survey conducted on the uzbekkonsert.uz website. This open and transparent voting system gave fans the opportunity to vote for their favorite creators.

The "O'zbegim-2024" national award ceremony is an important step in preserving the musical heritage passed down from our ancestors, developing our national art, and most importantly, shaping the musical thinking of future generations during a period when we are discovering our identity.

We want to see the creator of the third millennium primarily as a creative, spiritually inspiring individual with an independent worldview.

This event was another step in supporting young and talented performers, estrada singers, and creators under the Ministry of Culture’s "O'zbekkonsert" State Institution, raising the artistic level of songs, and encouraging the creation of high-quality musical works.

The event was organized not only to acknowledge achievements but also to promote the appeal of today's Uzbek art, based on values, to a wide audience.

It is worth noting that the "O'zbegim-2024" national presentation was held for the first time by the "O'zbekkonsert" State Institution under the Ministry of Culture.
