In the "New Uzbekistan Melodies" concert program, special attention was given to the priceless work of the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi – his epic "Khamsa." During the event, a famous section of the "Khamsa" was presented in a theatrical interpretation by theater actors, with the participation of People's Artist of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan Abduhoshim Ismoilov, as well as young performers from the Yunus Rajabiy named "Maqom" ensemble. The performance inspired the audience with various forms of art.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bahodir Ahmedov, the Director of the Maqom Center Avazbek Shomurodov, and the Rector of the UzMMSI Institute Eldor Shermonov, who highly appreciated such initiatives aimed at passing on our immortal heritage to the new generation.
