As you know, these days, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, is in Kyrgyzstan, where he met with Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov and participated in the "Kyrgyz-Uzbek Friendship" musical evening at the Toktogul Satilganov National Philharmonic in Bishkek.
Today, December 16, a meeting was held between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Altinbek Maksutov.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that cultural cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan plays a crucial role in strengthening the fraternal ties based on shared historical, linguistic, cultural, and traditional values. Specifically, it was noted that the long-standing friendly and neighborly relations between our peoples were strengthened following the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, and this cooperation continues based on the 1994 Intergovernmental Agreement on collaboration in science, education, tourism, and sports.
The discussion also highlighted the Cultural Days of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan, featuring gala concerts, exhibitions, and film screenings held in Tashkent and Bukhara during the visit of President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Altinbek Maksutov, expressed confidence that the Cultural Days of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 will be an important event for further strengthening the bonds between the two nations and proposed that all related matters be supported and facilitated.
In turn, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, reaffirmed that the Cultural Days of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan would be a significant milestone in deepening the relationship between the two nations.
