Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan share a history of mutual cultural ties and cooperation. The two countries are implementing several joint projects in the field of culture.
An example of this was seen yesterday, December 13, when the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, awarded Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic."
Recently, as part of the collaboration between the theaters of the two countries, the Kyrgyz musical drama theater named after Toktogul Azimbaev performed the play "My Blue Shore" for Uzbek audiences on the stage of the Uzbek State Drama Theater in honor of the 95th anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
Bahrom Usmonov, head of the Department for the Development of Concert and Spectacle Activities of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, and Otabek Jurayev, director of the Uzbek State Drama Theater, presented commemorative gifts to the Kyrgyz theater team. These gifts were seen as a vivid symbol of the strong ties between the two countries in the field of art and culture.
The play made a strong impression on Uzbek audiences, who received it warmly and enthusiastically. This event became a bright example of creative cooperation between the theater groups of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
During the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Uzbek State Drama Theater and the Toktogul Azimbaev Musical Drama Theater to strengthen the friendship and creative ties between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
