Under the leadership of Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, a meeting was held to discuss the further development of culture and art, support for employees working in theaters, circuses, concert venues, and cultural centers, as well as the wide-scale reforms being implemented in this sector in our country.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Avazkhon Tadjikhanov, staff of the ministry's central office, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads of regional and Tashkent city culture departments, theater directors and veterans, as well as heads of system organizations.
The first agenda item discussed new promising initiatives and projects related to the development of the sector, improving the activities of theaters, and strengthening their material and technical base as outlined in the Presidential Decree No. 399, "On Measures to Enhance the Importance of Theaters in the Cultural Life of Society and Further Support for Their Activities." Relevant instructions were given to the responsible individuals.
The second item addressed the provisions of the same decree, which included increasing the salaries of directors, deputy directors, teachers, and concertmasters of children's music and art schools by 10% starting January 1, 2025, and financing these schools' utility costs from the state budget starting February 1, 2025. Additionally, tasks outlined in the resolution "On the Fundamental Improvement of Teaching Music Culture in General Secondary Schools and Developing the Professional Activities of Music Culture Teachers" were discussed, and relevant assignments were issued.
"Dear friends! Any opportunities and attention being provided must undoubtedly increase our sense of responsibility. If we speak honestly, our esteemed President is creating all the conditions for the development of culture and art. All our proposals are being supported. Therefore, each of us must deeply feel this responsibility, deliver results, and ensure the flawless implementation of the assigned tasks. These results must, first and foremost, be reflected in the lives of our people. In this regard, I urge the ministry's central office staff, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads of regional and Tashkent city culture departments, theater, and educational institution directors to promptly, thoroughly, and fully implement the issues raised during the meeting. I wish you all health, strength, and energy for this task," said Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov in conclusion.
