Yesterday, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, Avazhon Tadjikhanov, was on a working visit to the Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions.

During the visit, Avazhon Tadjikhanov first visited the puppet theater in Surkhandarya, where he got acquainted with the issues and suggestions from the staff of cultural and artistic institutions and discussed the ongoing work.

Then, he visited the Surkhandarya regional branch of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, where he reviewed the building’s material and technical base, and the 9-month report concert of the ensemble was presented.

He also visited the Specialized Art School in Termez, where the project of the planned 2025 lecture hall was discussed, and the newly renovated student dormitory building for 2024 was inspected. Furthermore, he visited the model cultural centers in the Jarqulgan and Shurchi districts, checked the ongoing repair work at the centers, and visited the Surkhandarya Puppet Theater in Termez and the "Dombra Workshop" established in Shurchi.

After Surkhandarya, Avazhon Tadjikhanov also visited Kashkadarya region, where he familiarized himself with the activities of several cultural institutions. During the visit, the level of provision with musical instruments, stage costumes, technical equipment, and other necessary items to strengthen the material and technical base was examined, and additional recommendations for their effective use were provided. He also reviewed the preparations for the fall-winter season and gave relevant instructions.
