From November 4 to 6, a working group led by Deputy Minister of Culture Murodjon Majidov visited Fergana region on a business trip to review the implementation of laws, decrees, resolutions, and regulatory documents, as well as digitization efforts and the state of executive discipline in the cultural sector.
During the visit, inspections were conducted at the Regional Department of Culture, the Republican Center for Humorous and Satirical Arts named after Yusufjon Qiziq Shakarjonov, the Margilan City Musical Maqam Theater, and the cultural departments of Margilan City, Qoshtepa, Toshloq, and Yozyovon districts, along with cultural centers and children’s music and art schools.
The ongoing efforts to establish model cultural centers featuring a stage hall, library, cinema hall, and workshop rooms in every district and city by November 1, 2024, were studied onsite in Margilan City and the districts of Qoshtepa, Toshloq, and Yozyovon.
For reference, practical work on creating model cultural centers has begun in all districts and cities. The center No. 29 in Buvayda District is already functioning as a model cultural center. Repair work is nearing completion at cultural centers No. 14 in Quvasoy City, No. 70 in Uzbekistan District, and No. 5 in Fergana City.
Deputy Minister Murodjon Majidov inspected the progress of repair works at cultural centers No. 40 in Yozyovon District, No. 54 in Toshloq District, No. 79 in Qoshtepa, No. 16 in Margilan City, and No. 5 in Fergana City, giving instructions to expedite the repairs.
Proposals and recommendations were made regarding the development of unused land plots at cultural centers No. 77 "Shodlik" in Qoshtepa and No. 5 in Fergana City through public-private partnerships. Additionally, it was suggested to relocate the Republican Center for Humorous and Satirical Arts named after Yusufjon Qiziq Shakarjonov to the building of cultural center No. 78 "Istiqlol" in Qoshtepa for more efficient use.
