Yesterday, in honor of the 300th anniversary of Maxtumquli Firog‘i's birth, the "Best Performer of Songs Based on Maxtumquli’s Poetry" national competition was held.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Khorezm Regional Administration, the final stage of this republic-wide competition, dedicated to the great poet Maxtumquli Firog‘i’s 300th anniversary, took place successfully on October 25 in the Khorezm Regional Musical Drama Theater in Urgench.
According to the competition results, the winners were:
🥇 1st place — Mahmud Yusupov (Khorezm region)
🥈 2nd place — Dilbar Abdramanova (Republic of Karakalpakstan)
🥉 3rd place — Eziz Nazarov (Republic of Karakalpakstan)
The winners were awarded cash prizes:
🥇 1st place — 10 million UZS
🥈 2nd place — 8 million UZS
🥉 3rd place — 6 million UZS
This competition once again highlighted the harmony between Maxtumquli’s poetry and Uzbek music, showcasing the talents of our performers to a wide audience.
