Exhibition of Uzbek national musical instruments presented within the framework of the international forum

Today, on October 24, at the Youth Creativity Palace in the capital, within the framework of the "International Cultural Heritage Week," the Uzbek National Maqam Art Center organized an exhibition of Uzbek National Musical Instruments under the theme "Reforms in the Field of Culture and Art in New Uzbekistan" as part of an international forum.
The exhibition aims to introduce national musical instruments to a wide audience, showcase the ongoing efforts to preserve and protect them, and highlight the role and importance of Uzbek music and maqam art on an international scale.
The craftsmen who participated in the exhibition with their works included skilled masters such as Ashimov Dilmurod, Zokirov Rahmatilla, Azamatov Pirmuhammad, Matmusayev Kamoliddin, Islomov Azamat, and Imomov Habibulla, who presented national musical instruments made by their own hands. Each of them deserves recognition for their dedicated work in preserving Uzbekistan's rich musical traditions and passing them on to future generations.
The exhibition was organized under the leadership of Avazabek Shomurodov, the Director-General of the Uzbek National Maqam Art Center, using materials from the center's Historical Exhibition Department and the Maqam Museum’s collection. It featured unique examples of both ancient and modern national musical instruments.
The exhibition was attended by the Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Secretary-General of TURKSOY Sulton Rayev, Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries Mehmet Sureyya Er, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoti Raimkulova, as well as prominent cultural figures such as O‘g‘uz Yunus Isahon o‘g‘li, a cultural worker and writer from Azerbaijan, Esdaulet Uluqbek, a Kazakh poet, journalist, and editor from the TURKSOY Writers' Union, Moldokasimov Qiyos, Chairman of the "Muras" Historical-Cultural Heritage Foundation of the Kyrgyz people, a renowned historian, publicist, and journalist, Roza Shaykhaydarovna Akhmedieva, Rector of the Kazan State Institute of Culture, and Fedekar Selami, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Ege University.
Following the exhibition, the participants proceeded to the "Cho‘lpon" performance, organized within the framework of the forum.
