The third meeting of TURKSOY senior officials was held in Ankara

Yesterday, in preparation for the 41st Permanent Council Meeting of the Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY Member States, which will be held in Turkmenistan, the third meeting of high-ranking officials of the TURKSOY Permanent Council took place in Ankara.
Ahead of the Permanent Council meeting and other events in Anev, the 2024 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, representatives of the Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY member states gathered in Ankara under the chairmanship of TURKSOY Deputy Secretary-General Sayit Yusuf to discuss the organizational matters.
The meeting was attended by:

- Mislim Aliekberov, Employee of the International Organizations Department, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan
- Aygerim Ijanova, Chief Expert of the International Relations and Protocol Department, Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Nusubali Jaqipbekov, Head of the External Relations and Investments Department, Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic
- Venera Omurbekkizi, Head of the Human Resources Department, Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic

In his opening speech, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary-General Sayit Yusuf emphasized that the organization's mission of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Turkic world extends beyond its member countries, reaching Eastern Europe and particularly the Balkans, where Turkic communities reside. He also provided insights into some of the organization's recent initiatives.
Mr. Yusuf highlighted the significant role of the Ministries of Culture of TURKSOY member states and other relevant organizations in carrying out these projects. He underlined the importance of such preparatory meetings for effectively planning future events.
“In addition to the initiatives I have mentioned, we have held meetings, visits, and discussions with various institutions and international organizations to further strengthen the cultural unity of the Turkic world, promote Turkic culture, and enhance TURKSOY’s activities. These interactions will make a significant contribution to our future efforts," said Sayit Yusuf.
During the meeting, participants discussed the agenda items to be addressed at the 41st Permanent Council Meeting of TURKSOY.
