Today, on September 26, a critical meeting was held under the leadership of the Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, to discuss several issues on the agenda.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Yusufjon Usmonov, representatives of the central office of the ministry, as well as regional system organization heads, who participated online.
The following issues were discussed on the agenda:
- Establishment of model cultural centers
- Public-private partnerships
- Increasing efficiency in the rational use of energy resources
"As you all know, our country's leadership pays special attention to the cultural sector. Reforms are being carried out to develop our industry and support cultural workers. However, it is unfortunate that some regional leaders still do not understand our goals and have not changed their perspectives. A clear example of this is the directive given by the President in meetings on December 22, 2023, to restore and modernize dilapidated cultural centers in every district and city. Unfortunately, this great opportunity has not been utilized in regions such as Jizzakh, Surkhandarya, Namangan, Khorezm, and Tashkent," said Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
During the meeting, reports on the progress of the agenda items were reviewed region by region, and the results were analyzed. Regions that showed inefficiency were warned, and instructions were given to submit a nine-month report on the work done to the ministry.
