Today, on September 23, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Avazkhon Tadjikhanov, and the Artistic Director of the Moscow Gubern Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Sergey Bezrukov, held a meeting to discuss cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, positive steps in cultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

During the meeting, the following issues were addressed:

• Organizing theater performances at the Gubern Theatre in Russia with the participation of representatives from Uzbekistan’s major theaters, reflecting national traditions and customs, and regularly organizing performances in Uzbekistan with the participation of the Gubern Theatre's representatives from Russia;

• Organizing the “Meeting with a Star” project, with actors who have appeared in films from both Uzbekistan and Russia, and prominent artists who have gained recognition in both countries, and covering the project through local media;

• Signing a cooperation program between the Gubern Theatre of Russia and Uzbekistan's major theaters;

• Organizing theater tours for theater troupes to the major cities of both countries as part of collaborative efforts.

Additionally, during the meeting, Avazkhon Tadjikhanov, together with the Deputy Mayor of Tashkent, Sanjar Tadjiev, discussed the installation of a memorial dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Russian lyrical poet and writer Sergey Yesenin in our capital. The relevant measures regarding this issue will be coordinated in collaboration with the Tashkent City Administration, the Ministry of Culture, and relevant organizations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Sergey Bezrukov, the Artistic Director of the Moscow Gubern Theatre and People’s Artist of Russia, congratulated Avazkhon Tadjikhanov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, on his birthday.
