In cooperation with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency, and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the republican competition “Aqchako‘l Inspirations” was launched in Ellikkala district.
Yesterday, on April 7, the opening ceremony of the competition took place at an 800-seat amphitheater near Aqchako‘l. It is being attended by 14 poets, 14 writers, and 16 artists from Karakalpakstan, various regions, and the city of Tashkent.
The competition is significant as a project aimed at developing literature in our country, providing opportunities for young poets and writers, and supporting the creativity of young artists. Participants artistically reflected the unique nature of our country, its enchanting mountains, ancient history, and the landscapes of Aqchako‘l through poetry, prose, and painting. Through their creative abilities, they expressed national identity in artistic form.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev, Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Sayyid, People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Mahmud Toir, People’s Writer of Uzbekistan Kengesboy Karimov, and Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan Akmal Nur delivered speeches, congratulated the participants on the opening of the competition, and wished them success.
The competition, which started today, plays an important role in revealing the interests and abilities of young people. It also serves as a creative platform for strengthening friendly relations among youth, exchanging experiences, and introducing new talents to the wider public.
The event continued with a concert program performed by artists and cultural figures.
In the afternoon, participants of the “Aqchako‘l Inspirations” competition were divided into groups, held master classes, wrote creative works, and created paintings.
Guests planted trees in the Abdulla Oripov garden organized at an art school in Ellikkala district and visited the museum named after Otajon Khudoyshukurov.
They also attended the unveiling ceremony of a bust of Abdulla Oripov at the district Culture Palace and visited the museum.
Then they visited the Ellikkala faculty of Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz and got acquainted with the bust of Muhammad Yusuf and the poet’s small museum.
The events continued with a flower-laying ceremony at the “Ustozga ehtirom” monument, as well as the opening ceremonies of School No. 75 and a family polyclinic in Qirqqiz neighborhood.
