Yesterday, the Cultural Center of Oltiariq district hosted 143 distinguished delegates from the Republic of Tatarstan. Their visit was mainly organized to exchange experience between representatives of the Tatarstan National Cultural Center, as well as libraries, museums, music schools, and artisans, and their colleagues in the Fergana region.
The guests were ceremoniously welcomed at the Oltiariq Cultural Center by Deputy Governor of Fergana region Khurshidjon Axmedov and Chairwoman of the regional Tatar National Cultural Center Albina Karimova, accompanied by national traditions and the sounds of doira drums. Newly established folklore-ethnographic groups “Renessans sadolari” and “Yog‘du” also delighted the guests with performances of folk oral art such as yalla, lapar, and terma songs.
The head of the Oltiariq District Department of Culture, Murodjon Kamoliddinov, spoke about the facilities and opportunities of the center as a model cultural institution of the New Uzbekistan and introduced its activities in detail. An open house organized under the concept “Every tourist is a VIP guest” provided visitors with a unique cultural experience.
At the event, famous Oltiariq performers, including Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Qilichbek Tojiyev, International Alisher Navoi Award winner Umidjon To‘xtasinov, Farruhbek Nabiyev, and the “Baxt karvoni” ensemble, performed songs that encouraged the audience to dance. In addition, members of the Abdulla Akbarov School of Mastery—Alisher Isomiddinov, Nabijon Egamov, and Mo‘sajon Qosimov—performed humorous askiya and comedic pieces such as “O‘xshatdim,” “Gulmisiz, rayhonmisiz?”, “Xavsana,” “Qofiya,” and “Bilganlar, bilmaganlar,” bringing joy to the guests.
The visitors also explored the activities of the library and enjoyed performances by members of the newly established “Hamidjon Rahimov School of Creativity and Mastery,” as well as poetry from Uzbek народных поэтов Erkin Vohidov, Anvar Obidjon, and Enaxon Siddiqova. Books by these poets were presented to the delegation as gifts. The guests also showed great interest in the “Ustoz-shogird museum room” dedicated to Honored Artists Qilichbek Tojiyev and Ohunjon Madaliyev, as well as in various кружки such as dutor, dance, doira, SMM, and visual arts.
The artistic part of the event featured a concert program titled “Uzbek-Turkmen Musical Journey,” performed by the “Zilola” song and dance ensemble, which created a true cultural bridge through live performances of rich musical heritage.
This meeting became not only an exchange of artistic and creative experience but also a vivid example of friendship and cultural cooperation between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.
