Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A festive program titled “Navruz – New Day” was organized in the city of Gaziantep by the International Organization of Turkic Culture – TURKSOY and the Department for Relations with Turkic States of Turkey’s Justice and Development Party.

The event, held on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Turkey, was attended by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Qubanichbek Omuraliyev, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev, as well as representatives of state and public organizations, parliament, and the diplomatic corps.

First, a video greeting from the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was shown. After that, representatives of official circles delivered speeches, congratulating everyone on Navruz and expressing their best wishes.

In the artistic part of the event, performing groups from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan presented their performances. In particular, the songs and dances of the “Lazgi” song and dance ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan were met with applause.
Many members of the audience even joined them in dancing.

Also, students of the Republican Specialized Music School named after R. Glier, who became popular on Instagram, delighted Turkish audiences with their performances.

Within the framework of the festive program, exhibitions dedicated to Turkic handicrafts and gastronomy were also organized.
