HE Higher Education Ranking is an independent project dedicated to measuring and improving the performance of higher education institutions (HEIs). It evaluates higher education institutions using a transparent structure consisting of 25 criteria and 136 key performance indicators (KPIs). Together, these provide a comprehensive picture of institutional performance across academic, research, social, and governance missions.
The Higher Education Ranking is an annual institutional ranking that includes 1,000 higher education institutions worldwide and is published every year in March.
In the 2026 ranking, among 507 universities participating from 95 countries, the following 3 universities under the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan were ranked:
- Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture ranked 43rd;
- Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Musical Art ranked 206th;
- The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan ranked 476th.
It should be noted that in 2025, the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture ranked 28th among 422 universities.
For reference, 147 universities participated in this international ranking in 2023, and 303 universities in 2024.
This ranking comprehensively evaluates the performance of higher education institutions worldwide based on important criteria such as quality of education, scientific research, international cooperation, academic environment, and management efficiency.
According to experts, being included in international rankings helps increase the global reputation of universities, attract foreign students and faculty, and enhance the international value of graduates’ diplomas.
The inclusion of universities under the Ministry in this prestigious international ranking is another recognition of the consistent reforms being carried out in education and scientific activities, as well as the expanding scope of international cooperation.
