The Grand Closing Ceremony of the 2025 "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" Events Took Place at the "Khalyk Arena" Complex in Aktau, Kazakhstan

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov; the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva; the Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, Atageldi Shamyradov; TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev; the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, Binali Yıldırım; other officials, diplomatic corps representatives, and the general public.
During the event, it was announced that, by the decision of the 42nd meeting of the TURKSOY Permanent Council, "Andijan City has been designated as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World for 2026." A special video dedicated to the city of Andijan was screened.
The Mayor of Andijan, Elyorbek Karimov, was invited onto the stage. The symbolic statuette representing the title of "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" was presented to him by the Deputy Governor of Mangystau Region, Erbol Izbergenov. Thus, the symbolic relay passed from the city of Aktau to the city of Andijan.
The closing ceremony featured a grand concert program with the participation of master artists from TURKSOY member states and other Turkic-speaking peoples. Notably, representing our country were Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Gulbahor Erqulova, singer Sherzod Ro'zmetov from the Khorezm branch of the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic, musicians Saidakmalxo'ja Tursunxo'jayev and Dilmurodbek Bekmurodov from the "Bek" doira ensemble, and dancers from the "Navbahor" ensemble. Their performances were met with applause.
