Winners of the “National Composers Contest,” launched in the capital, have been awarded

Earlier, with the purpose of developing and popularizing the national academic music industry in our country, revitalizing and encouraging the work of composers, and widely promoting new works created in a national spirit, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Union of Composers and Music Creators of Uzbekistan announced the launch of the “National Composers Contest.”
Yesterday, the award ceremony of the “National Composers Contest,” organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Supporting Talented Youth, and the Union of Composers and Music Creators of Uzbekistan, was held at a high artistic level.
A total of 21 compositions submitted by artists aged between 25 and 40 were evaluated in three categories as follows:
Category: Works for symphony orchestra, folk instruments orchestra, and wind orchestra:
1st place – Nodira Meliboyeva
2nd place – Sherzod Sobirov
3rd place – Sitora Norto‘rayeva
3rd place – Ulug‘bek Karimov
Category: Choral and vocal works:
1st place – Akmal Safarov
2nd place – Abdujalil Abdusattorov
Category: Solo instrumental pieces or chamber ensemble compositions:
1st place – Farhodjon Nazarov
2nd place – Ayapbergen Otegenov
3rd place – Nikolya Gabrielyan
