A regional conference is being held with the participation of 53 countries of the European region.

A delegation headed by Abrar Akbarov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, is taking part in the first GF-TADs Regional Conference organized by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in Belgrade, Serbia.
The event is dedicated to pressing issues such as the implementation of the regional “Roadmap” on peste des petits ruminants (PPR) and combating transboundary animal diseases.
Since 2019, Uzbekistan has chaired the regional council (comprising 10 countries) on PPR.
Abrar Akbarov delivered a report on the activities carried out within the framework of the regional roadmap on PPR.
Within the framework of the conference, a meeting of the WOAH Regional Core Group (RCG) for Europe was also held, where regional issues were discussed.
Additionally, during the visit, meetings and discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia and delegations from a number of countries are planned.
