Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan

✅ As previously reported, an international seminar dedicated to the “2026 – International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists” is being held in the capital in cooperation with the United Nations and the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Livestock Sector.

✅ It should be noted that one of the key objectives of the “International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists” is to elevate policy dialogue to a new level in order to improve the sustainable management of rangeland resources.

✅ In preparation for the international event, a number of activities were carried out by the committee. In particular, in 2025, a nationwide inventory of all rangelands was conducted, and their current condition was clarified. At present, systematic efforts are underway to ensure the rational use and effective management of rangelands.

🟥 In addition, an open dialogue was organized to discuss existing challenges and proposals related to the sector.
