⏺ A seminar dedicated to the “2026 – International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists” was held in cooperation with the United Nations and the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Livestock Sector.
⏺ During the seminar, grant projects implemented jointly with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as well as planned future initiatives, were discussed.
⏺ It should be noted that declaring 2026 as the “International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists” creates favorable conditions for raising awareness about the importance of rangelands and pastoralists, as well as supporting active investment in the livestock sector.
⏺ In this regard, particular attention is being paid to developing traditional and inclusive management approaches that ensure the rational use of land and natural resources by pastoralists.
⏺ In addition, an open dialogue was organized with the participation of experts, farmers, and industry representatives, where views were exchanged on existing challenges, their solutions, and future priorities.
