The ceremony was attended by foreign guests and members of the regional community.
At the beginning of the event, the Hokim of the Namangan region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of such festivals and their contribution to the development of tourism. He particularly noted that these events serve as a unique platform and a kind of school for industry representatives, combining science and craftsmanship not only in honey production but also in the creation of beekeeping-related products.
This year, more than 150 beekeepers from Uzbekistan and abroad are showcasing their products across over 100 pavilions. The majority of international participants represent the industry from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, China, and Russia.
The festival program includes scientific and practical conferences, sports events, a job fair, an artisans’ exhibition, concerts, masterclasses, and various competitions dedicated to beekeeping.
It is expected that the festival will attract around 2,500 foreign visitors and approximately 10,000 local tourists.
The festival will run until October 26.
