AirAsia X launches direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tashkent

There were 218 passengers on board, and the aircraft was traditionally welcomed with a water salute. Along with this inaugural flight, several tourist groups arrived with the aim of exploring the tourism potential of Bukhara, Samarkand, Khorezm regions, and the city of Tashkent.
Representatives of AirAsia X took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the celebration cake cutting. A performance by a national dance ensemble was organized for the passengers.
Participants of the event emphasized that these flights contribute to the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the fields of tourism, trade and economic relations, education, culture, and sports, as well as to increasing the flow of tourists from Southeast Asian countries to the republic.
Flights on the Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent – Kuala Lumpur route are operated three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays — using wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.
