The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

As part of the visit, the group inspected renovated internal roads leading to the village, the night lighting system, pedestrian bridges, the information center, and various newly created amenities. They also had the opportunity to closely observe the operations of 20 family guesthouses and 3 hostels run by local residents.

The press tour participants were also introduced to the gastronomy and ecotourism services developing in Sentob. Journalists showed particular interest in activities such as traditional cooking, home-based museums, flatbread baking masterclasses, donkey rides, and souvenir production.

The visit highlighted the significance of the work accomplished in Sentob both at the local and international levels. It also reaffirmed the village’s appeal as a tourist destination. For reference, Sentob was granted the status of a “Tourist Village” in 2022 and was recognized by UNWTO in 2023 as one of the “Best Tourism Villages”.
