Djamshid Abdusalamov noted that tourism today brings together culture, transportation, education, and technology, creates jobs, and attracts investment. As an example, he cited Uzbekistan's experience: the simplification of visa procedures, the development of hotel infrastructure, improved transport connectivity, and an increase in tourist arrivals, which have exceeded 10 million people per year.
Uzbekistan's participation in the Eastern Economic Forum, which is held under the patronage of the President of Russia and is considered one of the key international platforms, is of great importance for the development of national tourism. It allows the country to showcase its achievements on a global stage, draw attention to its cultural and natural heritage, strengthen partnerships, and open up new opportunities for the sustainable growth of the sector.
