The Congress is being held in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. 16 “On the State Programme for the Implementation of the Strategy ‘Uzbekistan–2030’ in the Year of Environmental Protection and "Green" Economy” and Resolution No. 232 “On Additional Measures for the Diversification of Domestic Tourism Services.” Its primary goal is to promote youth engagement in environmental and socio-economic initiatives, to encourage their active participation in tourism, and to support the implementation of their innovative ideas and projects in the fields of ecology and tourism.
The Congress will bring together delegations from Uzbekistan’s sister cities and regions, as well as from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Foreign students currently studying in Uzbekistan will also take part. Additionally, from each region of the country, 54 talented young people—including students from vulnerable backgrounds, persons with disabilities, and those listed in the "Youth Register"—will participate, along with members of the "Young Ecologists" Movement and the Council of Youth Tourism Ambassadors.
The program includes educational seminars with experts, international conferences, exhibitions, intellectual games, competitions, celebrity meet-and-greets, plogging events, sports and e-sports tournaments, elections to the leadership bodies of the "Young Ecologists" Movement and the Youth Tourism Ambassadors Council, as well as excursions to the architectural monument Ak-Saray and the ropeway at the Miraki tourist center in Shahrisabz. Various ceremonial events will also take place throughout the Congress.
At the conclusion of the Congress, active participants will be awarded certificates of recognition and commemorative gifts. All attendees will receive a special certificate issued by the Ministry of Ecology.
