Her performance, part of the global “Up All Night — LIVE IN 2025” tour, became the largest concert in Asia and made history.
On this evening, Tashkent transformed not just into a capital, but into the cultural heart of the entire region. The event sparked great international interest:
• 67% of tickets were purchased by foreign citizens, including 8,945 guests from Russia, 2,495 from Kazakhstan, as well as tourists from the USA and European countries.
• In total, 15,330 tourists arrived in Uzbekistan.
• More than one hundred local contracting companies took part in organizing the concert.
• The event brought significant revenue to the capital’s economy, providing a strong boost to the hotel and restaurant sector during the low summer tourist season.
A clear example is the hotel occupancy statistics: from August 5 to 8 this year, Tashkent hotels hosted 25.7% more tourists compared to the same period last year.
Such projects are an important driver of the creative economy, stimulating tourism, creating new jobs, boosting employment in the fields of culture, media, and services, and shaping a positive international image of the country. Jennifer Lopez’s team in Tashkent included more than 90 people.
During the preparation and hosting of the concert, the stadium and surrounding area were monitored from the air using drones. In particular:
• The road patrol service was equipped with the latest vehicles, and eight ambulance crews were on full standby. Cameras with facial recognition (Face ID) and special detectors were installed at stadium entrances, integrated with the Tashkent City Situation Analysis Center (Ministry of Internal Affairs). A total of 3,686 law enforcement officers and 300 volunteers ensured public safety.
• Landscaping and maintenance work involved 500 people: 200 inside the stadium and 300 in the surrounding area. The venue was fully cleaned after the concert.
• Eighteen food courts operated under the supervision of sanitary services.
• Shuttle buses were arranged for the convenience of attendees. Information on stadium access, service area locations, shuttle routes, and other amenities was communicated in advance to residents via the internet and mass media.
The Jennifer Lopez concert clearly demonstrated Uzbekistan’s readiness to host world-class events fully in line with modern technical standards and audience comfort requirements. Such initiatives by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan strengthen cultural ties, develop the creative economy and tourism, and present our country as a modern, open, and creative hub of Central Asia.
