This village stands out for its ancient historical monuments, sacred sites, and residents who preserve national traditions. In particular, Kasri Orifon attracts numerous tourists due to its proximity to the mausoleum of the renowned Sufi saint Bahauddin Naqshband. Thousands of local and international visitors come here every year.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee, local authorities, mahalla activists, and tourism industry specialists. As part of the event, guests enjoyed an exhibition of national cuisine, a handicraft fair, and performances by folklore ensembles. Future plans for the development of tourism infrastructure were also presented.
During the event, guests were introduced to the favorable conditions created for both domestic and international tourists in the “Tourist Village,” including a hotel, dining establishments, 20 family-run guesthouses, pilgrimage sites, and ecotourism facilities.
It is worth noting that to diversify the range of services and extend the length of tourist stays in the region, a travel program called “One Day in Kasri Orifon” has been developed. Additionally, “Naqshband Days” are organized for pilgrims from abroad.
The granting of “Tourist Village” status is expected to give a new boost to the economic and social development of Kasri Orifon. This initiative will not only increase local employment but also contribute to the broad promotion of national culture.
