“Train to the Aral Sea” unites youth for tourism development and environmental protection

More than 600 active and proactive young people, selected from all regions of Uzbekistan, as part of the youth environmental campaign “Train to the Aral Sea” took part in the festival of friendship of peoples, organized at the Karakalpak State University in Nukus under the slogan “We are children of one family”.
The participants of the campaign also visited the Karakalpak State Museum of Arts named after Savitsky, got acquainted with the “Museum of the History of the Aral Sea”, the cemetery of ships and memorial complexes as part of the project of traveling to Muynak under the motto “Aral is ours”.
At the same time, active youth, within the framework of the national program “Yashil Makon”, together with the social projects “AralForest” and “GreenAralSea”, carried out work on planting plants growing on saline and sandy soils.
During the youth environmental action “Train to the Aral Sea”, the participants prepared presentations on ecology, climate change and tourism, and also took part in seminars and trainings.
The project “Train to the Aral Sea” is an important step in the development of tourism, which, combining ecology and culture, attracts young people to study and preserve the unique region of the Aral Sea.
