Margilan to host International Forum on "The Importance of Margilan Silk Fabrics in the International Market in the Middle Ages"

On May 29 of this year, in order to create additional amenities for tourists, improve the quality and increase the attractiveness of the services provided, the city of Margilan in the Fergana region will host an International Forum on "The Importance of Margilan Silk Fabrics in the International Market in the Middle Ages", including an exhibition and a scientific and practical conference.
The forum is organized jointly by the Tourism Committee, the Khokimiyat of the Fergana Region, the regional tourism department, the "Hunarmand" association and the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the scientific and practical conference, based on the integrated continuous system of “preparation-teaching-restoration-preservation-popularization” of samples of intangible cultural heritage, training of young people in the production of adras products on the principle of “teacher-student”, scientific research, exhibitions and demonstrations will be conducted at the artisans’ center.
