The range of tourist services will be actively expanded

In order to further develop the tourism sector as the most important strategic sector of the economy in the country, to dramatically increase the flow of tourists, create new tourist facilities, provide additional support to entrepreneurs in the industry, create new and preserve existing jobs, Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № DP-87 “On measures to increase the role and significance of tourism in the economy through a substantial increase in tourist flow and the accelerated expansion of tourism services in 2025–2026” was adopted.
According to the decree, the main target indicators for the tourism sector until the end of 2025 are defined as follows:
• organizing trips to the regions for 15.8 million foreign tourists, increasing the export of tourism services to 4 billion US dollars;
• through the development of domestic tourism, organizing trips to the regions for 40 million local tourists, establishing the operations of an additional 378 tour operators.
Starting from June 1, 2025, citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Sultanate of Oman will be granted a visa-free regime for up to 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2025, regional programs for the development of tourism for the following year will be developed annually until November 30.
Starting from 2025, the International Tourism Week will be held annually during the third week of November.
From June 2025, to implement the program "Travel around Uzbekistan!" Saturday and Sunday of the second week of each month will be designated as "Family and Group Travel Day."
Winners of sports competitions held among young people at the republican level will be additionally awarded a "Travel around Uzbekistan" tour package.
Until January 1, 2027, entrepreneurs will be provided with a one-time subsidy to cover part of the costs for the construction and equipping of modular hotels consisting of at least 10 modules, in the following amounts:
• 10 million sums for each place in a modular hotel of category I;
• 7 million sums for each place in a modular hotel of category II;
• 5 million sums for each place in a modular hotel of category III.
Part of the costs of improving the qualifications of employees of medical tourism clusters in the tourism sector will be reimbursed until January 1, 2028.
Until January 1, 2030, the services of medical tourism clusters will be promoted at international tourism and medical fairs and exhibitions.
Starting from June 1, 2025, all state electronic systems and platforms in the tourism sector will be developed within the framework of the Unified National Tourism Platform.
By the end of 2025, a thematic office "Tourism along the Silk Road" will be established in Samarkand.
