Bukhara hosts training on introducing dual education in the hotel industry

On 23–24 October 2026, a training session entitled “Dual Education: A Practical Tool for Employers to Develop Skilled Professionals” was held at the Mercure Bukhara Old Town hotel in Bukhara. The event was organised by the Hoteliers Association of Uzbekistan in cooperation with "HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation", with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Over the two days, representatives of the tourism and hospitality sectors exchanged professional experience and discussed the role of businesses in training qualified personnel, the development of mentoring programmes, and opportunities to introduce dual education into the operations of industry enterprises.
Particular attention was paid to organising practical training directly in the workplace, the role of mentors, the development of training curricula and the assessment of professional training outcomes. At the conclusion of the training, participants were awarded certificates.
