The region’s unique natural landscapes, national traditions and distinctive way of life are attracting growing interest from tourists and creating new opportunities for gastronomic, ethnographic and rural tourism. Currently, the mahalla has 21 family-run guest houses and seven yurt camps, while five types of additional tourism services are also available.
These initiatives have provided permanent employment for around 100 previously unemployed local residents, including women. This demonstrates the important role tourism can play in stimulating regional economic development, creating jobs, increasing household incomes and improving the well-being of local communities.
As a result of these efforts, Yangikazgan Mahalla is gradually emerging as a distinctive tourist destination in Navoi Region. Staying in traditional yurts, discovering local customs and traditions, and experiencing the local way of life offer visitors a unique and memorable travel experience.
To further unlock the mahalla’s tourism potential, attract more domestic and international visitors, improve tourism infrastructure and expand the range of services, an initiative has been put forward to grant Yangikazgan Mahalla the status of a “Tourist aul”.
The initiative is expected to broaden the range of tourism services, support local entrepreneurship, create new investment opportunities and promote Navoi Region’s tourism potential both nationally and internationally.
