Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan present joint tourism route in Berlin

The event was part of a joint project implemented under a memorandum of cooperation signed in July 2026 by the National PR Centre, and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board. The initiative aims to promote the joint tourism route “Joint Silk Road Highlights Tour” on the international market and position Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan as a combined travel destination.
The presentation brought together representatives of more than 20 companies and over 40 professionals from Germany’s tourism industry. Particular attention was given to the route connecting the historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva in Uzbekistan with Baku, Shamakhi and Sheki in Azerbaijan. B2B meetings with German tourism industry representatives also provided opportunities to establish new partnerships and increase tourist arrivals in both countries.
This initiative is expected to strengthen Uzbekistan’s international tourism brand, expand cooperation with European countries and promote new international tourism products along the Great Silk Road.
