Employees of the Committee’s central office actively participated in the event. The dictation provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of observing Uzbek spelling rules, expressing thoughts clearly and accurately, and adhering to the standards of the literary language.
Today, the ability to communicate fluently and correctly in the state language is an important professional requirement, particularly for public-sector employees. Compliance with language standards when preparing official documents, informational materials and responses to public enquiries, as well as when communicating with the public, reflects an organisation’s professional culture and credibility.
This is especially important in the tourism sector, where information about Uzbekistan’s history, culture and national values is conveyed to a wide audience through tourism content, promotional materials, guided-tour scripts, information boards and other communication channels. The accurate and expressive use of the state language is therefore an essential responsibility for tourism professionals.
Participants’ work was assessed by subject-matter specialists according to criteria covering spelling, punctuation, written communication skills and overall literacy.
Following the assessment, employees who achieved the best results were identified and presented with commemorative gifts. The initiative helped foster healthy competition among staff, encourage a deeper understanding of the state language and promote continuous professional development.
The nationwide dictation became one of the Committee’s educational initiatives aimed at further strengthening respect for the state language, improving employees’ written communication skills and promoting the richness and expressive potential of the Uzbek language.
The Uzbek language is a priceless heritage that unites our national identity, spirituality and future!
