The events were held with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in cooperation with Centrum Air as part of a familiarisation trip (FAM Trip) organised to mark the launch of direct air service between Tashkent and Hyderabad.
The B2B meeting brought together 12 representatives of Hyderabad’s tourism industry, who were visiting Uzbekistan as part of the FAM Trip from 2 to 5 October 2026. During the negotiations, the foreign participants met with representatives of Uzbek tour operators and discussed promising areas of cooperation.
The meeting focused on presenting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and opportunities for promoting the country in the Indian market. Indian tourism representatives were introduced to existing tourism products and promising destinations, including historical and cultural routes covering Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, travel along the Great Silk Road, as well as opportunities for developing gastronomic, ecotourism and pilgrimage tourism.
The participants also discussed the joint development and promotion of travel packages, the creation of new routes, increasing the length of visitors’ stays in Uzbekistan and expanding the geographical scope of travel. Particular attention was given to establishing direct cooperation between tour operators of the two countries and developing new tourism offers tailored to the interests of Indian travellers.
The launch of direct air service between Hyderabad and Tashkent is regarded as an important factor in increasing tourist exchanges. The new route creates additional opportunities for developing comprehensive travel packages along the Hyderabad–Tashkent route, with programmes subsequently incorporating other major tourism destinations in Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek tourism industry delegation was also joined by Indian travel blogger Vaibhav Kundra, whose Instagram audience exceeds 5 million followers. During the trip, he is exploring Uzbekistan’s tourism destinations, helping showcase the country to a broad Indian online audience.
The B2B negotiations between representatives of the tourism industries of the two countries provide a strong foundation for establishing new business contacts, developing joint tourism products and increasing mutual tourist flows.
Direct cooperation between tour operators in Uzbekistan and India will further promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Hyderabad market and other regions of India, while strengthening practical cooperation between the two countries in tourism.
