It was noted that tourism in Uzbekistan is steadily developing as one of the key drivers of the national economy, with its role in the country’s economic development continuing to grow.
Particular attention was paid to the integrated development of promising tourism areas based on master plans. In particular, under a relevant resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted in April this year, the State Institution “Project Office for Tourism Infrastructure Development” was established under the Tourism Committee. The initiative provides for the comprehensive development of 30 new tourism areas based on master plans by 2030. The guests expressed their readiness to attend these events, including as speakers at the Investment Forum.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the agreed areas and pursue mutually beneficial initiatives. In particular, they supported the proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Institution “Project Office for Tourism Infrastructure Development” under the Tourism Committee.
