The meetings, led by J. Gaziyev, Director of the State Institution “Tourism Services Certification Centre”, were organised to inform entrepreneurs about the incentives announced by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the Open Dialogue meeting with entrepreneurs held in Khiva on 18 August, explain new standards and the extension of existing support measures, and identify pressing issues facing the hospitality industry.

During the meetings, presentations were given on certification and inspection procedures. Participants received explanations of changes to certification standards and procedures, measures to attract international hotel brands, increase the number of star-rated hotels and improve service quality. In a question-and-answer format, participants also discussed subsidies, available incentives and access to loans.

The activities also include on-site reviews of hotel operations. In Jizzakh Region, meetings were held with entrepreneurs already operating in the hospitality sector, those who have started hotel construction, own land plots or plan to convert existing buildings into hotels, as well as those interested in attracting international brands or investors and obtaining loans. They were provided with detailed explanations of the new standards and the support measures and incentives provided for by legislation.
