Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Visitors were provided with information on Uzbekistan’s key tourism destinations, historic cities and cultural heritage sites, as well as modern opportunities for developing various types of tourism. Particular attention was paid to promoting Uzbekistan in the Korean market as a country with a rich history, distinctive culture, unique traditions and a diverse range of tourism products.

National cuisine was also given a special place in the exhibition. As part of the fair, guests were offered a tasting of traditional Uzbek dishes, including plov, moshkichiri, nohat shurak, jiz and kovurdok. The presentation of national cuisine provided an opportunity to introduce the Korean audience to Uzbekistan’s culinary heritage and traditions of hospitality, which form an important part of the country’s tourism appeal.

The forum’s business programme also featured B2B meetings and negotiations involving representatives of the business communities of the two countries. Alongside trade, economic and investment issues, the participants discussed prospects for cooperation in tourism, cultural exchange, promotion of tourism products and increasing mutual tourist flows.

The participation of the Tourism Committee in the events held as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea contributes to strengthening tourism ties between the two countries, expanding contacts between tourism industry representatives and promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Korean market.
