Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event, held at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, brought together specialists, researchers and tour guides and interpreters engaged in both the academic and practical aspects of the tourism sector.

As part of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to 35 researchers who successfully completed tourism-related research projects in 2025–2026, as well as 35 tour guides and interpreters who professionally provide international and domestic tourists with information about Uzbekistan’s tourism sites, historical and cultural heritage, and national values.

It was noted that, alongside the sustainable and dynamic development of tourism in the country, particular attention is being paid to strengthening the sector’s scientific and theoretical foundations and introducing modern approaches and innovative solutions into practice. In this context, the work of researchers conducting studies in tourism plays an important role in generating new knowledge and approaches, making effective use of the country’s tourism potential and developing competitive tourism products.

Tour guides and interpreters also play an important role in enhancing Uzbekistan’s tourism appeal by providing visitors with reliable and high-quality information about the country’s rich history, cultural heritage, customs and traditions. Their professionalism and command of foreign languages are among the important factors in shaping a positive impression of Uzbekistan among international visitors.

The presentation of certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts at the ceremony served as an important expression of support for efforts aimed at advancing tourism research, strengthening professional expertise and improving the quality of tourism services.
