2nd International Gastronomic Festival “National Dishes of the Khans of Khorezm” to be held in Khiva

Over the course of two days, festival participants will have the opportunity to discover the rich gastronomic heritage of Khorezm, traditional recipes and authentic national dishes. More than 20 dishes of Khorezm cuisine, as well as around 10 dishes representing the national cuisines of different countries, will be prepared as part of the event.
Guests will be introduced to such traditional Khorezm dishes as tukhum barak, kuk barak, kovok barak, shivit oshi, manti, gumma, ijjon, meat kavurma, dimlama, kazan-kebab, jigar-kebab, tuncha shurpa, mastava, patyr, bogirsok and katlama. National dishes from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, China, the Republic of Korea and Italy will also be presented.
The festival programme will include gastronomic competitions, with the winners receiving valuable prizes and cash awards.
The festival is aimed at promoting Khorezm’s national gastronomic heritage, showcasing the region’s potential for gastronomic tourism, and creating an international platform that brings together the cuisines and cultural traditions of different peoples.
