International tourism experience exchange held in Ankara

Representatives of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took part in the international programme. During the training, they studied Türkiye’s advanced experience in developing the tourism industry, institutional approaches, as well as modern mechanisms for managing and promoting tourism destinations.
Destination management and destination marketing were among the key areas of the training. Particular attention was paid to enhancing the competitiveness of tourism destinations, effectively managing tourist flows, developing regional tourism brands and positioning destinations in international markets.
The participants also explored Türkiye’s experience in diversifying tourism products, developing new tourism destinations and thematic products, making effective use of the potential of cultural and gastronomic tourism, and creating integrated, high-value tourism experiences.
The programme also covered digital marketing and tourism branding, the use of modern communication channels, attracting international audiences through digital platforms, and strengthening the international image of tourism destinations.
Participants exchanged views on mechanisms for entering international tourism markets and working with target markets. In particular, practical approaches to promoting destinations in international markets, target audience segmentation, improving the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and developing public-private partnerships in tourism were discussed.
During the training, participants also discussed prospects for further developing tourism cooperation between Türkiye and the Turkic states, expanding mutual tourist exchanges, implementing joint marketing and promotional campaigns, jointly promoting tourism routes, and creating a unified regional tourism offering for international markets.
As part of the programme, participants visited key tourist attractions and destinations in Ankara, where they gained practical insights into the development of urban tourism, the integration of cultural heritage sites into tourism activities, the development of tourism infrastructure and destination management.
The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session and a professional exchange of views among participants. Certificates were presented to all participants upon completion of the training.
The international training programme was important for strengthening the institutional and professional capacity of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry, studying effective international mechanisms for destination management and marketing, diversifying tourism products, and expanding practical tourism cooperation with Türkiye and other Turkic states.
