The new electric train will operate as Train No. 730/729 on the Tashkent–Andijan–Tashkent route. The modern train consists of four carriages and can accommodate 357 passengers. Currently, the journey between the two cities takes between six and seven hours. The new train can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.
On the Tashkent–Andijan route, the train will depart from Tashkent Central Railway Station at 09:20 and, passing through Angren, Pap, Kokand and Margilan, will arrive in Andijan at 13:35.
In the Andijan–Tashkent direction, the train will depart at 15:38 and, via Margilan, Kokand, Pap and Angren, will arrive at Tashkent Central Railway Station at 19:53.
The launch of the new electric train will create more comfortable travel conditions between Tashkent and the Fergana Valley. This, in turn, will contribute to the development of domestic tourism, increase tourist travel between the capital and the valley’s regions, and improve transport accessibility to cities with significant tourism potential, including Kokand, Margilan and Andijan.
In addition, starting September 10, the schedules of a number of passenger trains operating on routes between Tashkent and the Fergana Valley will also be updated.
The new services and revised train schedules will expand transport options for passengers, including domestic and international tourists traveling across Uzbekistan’s regions.
