The meeting focused on the accelerated development of Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, expansion of hotel infrastructure, attraction of international hotel brands to the country, and opportunities for directing foreign investment into the tourism sector.

Representatives of Barceló Hotel Group were briefed on the conditions being created for investors in Uzbekistan, measures aimed at developing tourism zones and clusters, as well as existing support measures for the hotel industry.

During the negotiations, company representatives expressed interest in entering the Uzbek market and implementing hotel projects in the country. In particular, they are considering the development of four- and five-star hotels in Uzbekistan, with their subsequent operation under the management of Barceló Hotel Group.

The parties also discussed the possibility of taking existing tourism facilities under management, renovating them, and further developing them in accordance with international standards.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit by company specialists to Uzbekistan to assess promising tourism facilities and investment projects, as well as to explore opportunities for implementing hotel projects with the participation of Barceló Hotel Group in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and other tourist regions of the country.
