Uzbekistan welcomes 9.1 million foreign tourists in eight months

In January–August 2026, 9.1 million foreign tourists visited the Republic of Uzbekistan, representing a 21.1 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
While 7.7 million tourists visited the country during the first seven months of the year, 1.4 million tourists arrived in Uzbekistan in August alone.
The most significant increases in tourist arrivals were recorded among citizens of China — 2.3 times, Malaysia — 2 times, Japan — 1.5 times, the United States — 1.4 times, and Russia — 1.3 times. In addition, the number of tourists from Germany increased by 25 percent, while arrivals from France and the United Kingdom grew by 21 percent, and those from Türkiye by 15 percent.
Exports of tourism services reached US$4.6 billion, increasing by 53.5 percent compared with the same period last year.
