Within the structure of services exports, travel (tourism) holds the leading position. Its share of total services exports amounted to 53.8 percent.
Transport services accounted for 31.7 percent of services exports, while telecommunications, computer and information services accounted for 8.5 percent, and other business services for 2.9 percent.
The fact that tourism accounts for more than half of services exports highlights the sector’s growing importance to the country’s economy. In particular, the increase in international tourist arrivals, the development of new tourism products and destinations, as well as the expansion of modern tourism infrastructure are contributing to the continued growth of tourism services exports.
These figures represent one of the important outcomes of the ongoing reforms aimed at further strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the international tourism market, providing competitive and high-quality services to international visitors, and steadily increasing the contribution of tourism to the country’s economy.
