As part of these efforts, the Andijan Regional Hokimiyat, in cooperation with the Regional Tourism Department and the Department for Family and Women’s Affairs, organized a practical training seminar titled “Women and Tourism: The Key to Opportunities.”
During the event, women planning to start businesses in the tourism sector received detailed information about available opportunities and benefits, including procedures for obtaining preferential loans and subsidies, the legal framework governing tourism activities, and the conditions created by the government to support entrepreneurship.
Participants were also introduced to the experience of successful women entrepreneurs working in tourism and received practical recommendations on starting businesses in areas such as hospitality, family-run guest houses, handicrafts, gastronomic tourism and other tourism services.
As noted, Andijan Region’s rich historical and cultural heritage, natural potential and tourism resources offer broad opportunities for developing women’s entrepreneurial initiatives in the tourism sector. This will contribute to creating new jobs, increasing household incomes and expanding the range of tourism services in the regions.
