The service aims to promote historical heritage in a modern and engaging format. Tourists visiting Chor-Bakr will now have the opportunity not only to explore its ancient monuments, but also to learn more about the historical tradition of using pigeons to deliver messages.
During the tour, guides tell visitors about the history of pigeon post, its significance in ancient times and how it was used. A pigeon keeper then attaches a specially prepared message to a pigeon’s leg and releases it. The bird delivers the message to a randomly selected guest among the tourists.
The new tourism product will allow visitors to spend their time at the Chor-Bakr complex in a meaningful way, explore historical traditions through an interactive experience and enjoy a unique tourism activity.
As part of the project, plans are underway to enable tourists to spend at least three hours at the complex, experience an unusual tourism activity and take away even more vivid and unforgettable memories of Uzbekistan.
