The main program of the event will focus on three key areas: an international conference, panel sessions and two-stage B2B meetings between tour operators.
The meetings are intended to establish practical cooperation with companies directly involved in providing tourism services and promoting them in international markets.
The event is of strategic importance for Uzbekistan as it provides an opportunity to enter new tourism markets. In particular, direct contacts are planned with companies organizing tours for affluent Asian-origin Muslim communities in Canada, the United Kingdom and European countries. This opens up new opportunities to attract high-spending tourists interested in premium and luxury services.
Participants will also take part in excursions to Khorezm, Samarkand and Bukhara regions, as well as additional business meetings. During these trips, international partners will have an opportunity to explore first-hand Uzbekistan’s developing mountain, ecotourism, gastronomic and ethnographic tourism offerings.
The event, organized by the Tourism Committee jointly with the tourism organization Trip Group, will bring together more than 100 tourism industry representatives from over 20 countries in the capital. The event was previously held in Türkiye, Egypt, Vietnam and Tanzania, and this year it is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time.
The summit will be attended by major tour operators from the United States, Canada and New Zealand, as well as leading countries across Europe and Asia.
